Falcon Heights POE Modernization
The Falcon Dam Land Port of Entry (LPOE) in Texas is one of the older U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)-owned ports of entry, originally constructed in 1953. This modernization project will address deficiencies within the existing facilities while incorporating the latest CBP design standards and operational requirements.
The project includes improvements to two existing campus buildings—the Training Building and the Main Building—along with additions to each facility and associated site improvements.
Training Building
The Training Building will undergo interior renovations to support current modernization requirements and improve the functionality of the existing spaces. A new approximately 1,500-square-foot addition will be constructed on the west end of the building utilizing a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) system. The addition and renovated existing areas will receive new suspended acoustical ceilings, drywall, lighting, paint, plumbing fixtures, and flooring.
Main Building
The Main Building will receive an approximately 1,405-square-foot addition to provide additional functional space. The project will also include a new, wider and taller canopy extending over the inbound traffic lanes to improve operations.
Interior improvements to both the new addition and renovated existing spaces will include new suspended acoustical ceilings, drywall, lighting, paint, plumbing fixtures, and flooring.
